LTTM is a prevention-based service established on the understanding that to effectively address offending, the whole family/whānau and the community need to be involved in the solution. LTTM identifies key risk factors around the 4 cornerstones of a child/young person’s life
Life To The Max works with children and young people who may present with family or community risk factors such as alcohol and drug abuse, family violence, anti-social peers, truanting, gang influence and lack of positive role models, to name but a few.
Life To The Max aims to support children and young people and their families/whānau to gain control back in their lives. This is achieved by working alongside the family/whānau and other community professionals.
Life To The Max Trust Whanganui will accept referrals from any one in the Whanganui community who has a genuine concern for the wellbeing of a child or young person aged between 5-13 years and their family/whānau. Ideally the referral form will be signed by the parents/caregivers and all details required MUST be completed on the referral form before submitting.
Generally Life To The Max referrals are made by government or community funded agencies where there is already contact with the family of the child or young person but parents, caregivers or other family members may refer as well where there is sufficient concern for risk of offending or potential offending.
